A bit about the play:

This is the story of four women of a certain age who take refuge together when their habitat is threatened. Rocked by uncertainty, they find themselves weighing their losses and options for survival in an increasingly surreal world. But there’s always ice cream. Women, Birds, Stars is about being present amidst chaos, and what it means to be gone.

Always an honor to be a part of the Playwrights Union FIRST PEEK reading series, this year sharing the bill with fellow PU members Eric Rudnick, Jennifer Maisel, Brianna Barrett and Ashley Rose Wellman.

I hope you can join us on Friday, June 13th at 8pm – feel free to stay afterwards for a drink and a bite at our Post Reading Gathering!

FIRST PEEK will be held at Atwater Village Theatre (AVT) 3269 Casitas Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90039 Friday, June 13th – Sunday, June 15th. All readings are FREE!

Many thanks to all the artists and advocates involved in the developement of Women, Birds, Stars, including Pam Walker & JW and SPACE; Claudia Barnett; Bonnie Akimoto, Mary Baird & Joy Carlin!
