Thrilled to be a part of Open Fist Theatre Company’s First Look Festival this year (for the first time!) with my play, Dead People’s Dishes….
and to continue a wonderful collaboration with director Margaret Shigeko Starbuck, and actors Barbara Schofield, Syanne Green, Amir Levi, Sandra Kate Burck, Scott Keiji Takeda, Amanda Weier & Tania Verafield.
(So great to meet new actors from OFTC, and to have re-connected with Amir, Scott & Tania who did the very first reading on Zoom during the pandemic!)
The play is included in first Festival weekend playing
- Saturday, August 23rd at 8pm
- Sunday, August 24th at 7pm
- at Atwater Village Theatre, 3269 Casitas Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90039
A play about what we hang onto, what we let go of and the impact of our losses, Dead People’s Dishes is made up of unexpected stories which move through Los Angeles history to look at how we get through things—fires, floods, earthquakes, riots, wars, health crises, environmental disasters and personal tragedies—over and over again.
For more info and tix visit openfist.org – The First Look Festival continues through Sept 7th with readings of new plays by Hutchins Foster and Michael A. Shepperd, Tom Jacobson, Anne Kenney as well as “fresh looks” of The Lion in Winter and Romeo and Juliet.
