It’s official. The production of my play “Currency” that the incredible artists at The Inkwell Theater have mounted is the best thing that’s happened to me in… a long, long, long time.
Heading into the third week of the run I keep having “pinch me” moments: we’re getting great reviews (I’m particularly fond of Pauline Adamek’s ArtsBeatLA notice – anyone who calls my plays “hilarious” and “sly” in the same sentence is on my A List forevah), full houses and fabulous reactions from audience members (most of whom I’ve never even met – go figure).
All of this follows a workshop, pre-production and rehearsal process that’s been unbelievably positive. I am so grateful to Daniel Shoenman and the producers, director Annie McVey, the amazing actors (Warren Davis, Shirley Jordan, Josh Stamell, Gina Torrecilla & Dale Waddington), SM Teresa Hartmann, the hot hot designers and every other person involved… or who sets foot in the damn theatre, pretty much.
So it goes without saying that I hope you can join us. “Currency” runs Thurs – Sat @ 8pm & Sun @ 2pm thru May 21 Only! (Book now to snag 1/2 price seats.)
“Currency” is a guest production at VS. Theatre (the old Black Dahlia), 5453 Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026.
